What is Design? And how to tell it in a fun way?
Design is planning the purpose of something before it is made. Build more rational and useful products and services by carefully planning their making.
I’ve scratched so many drafts of my “What is Design?” article that I feel a bit of nausea thinking about it. This is my experimental, alternative, way of introducing the subject.
I want to write more about what is design for me and the world: it’s an infinite space of creativity, collaboration and professional opportunities which grabbed my main interests since (forever?) the last 10 years and I consider the Design Discipline as one of the noblest and most powerful ways to change yourself, other people, and the World.
Trying to not be boring, most of all to myself, and, of course, to you, my dear reader, I am making a writing experiment: telling the same story by adding a more fresh and direct style to it. I am giving my personal views, I am telling a story about it and, that is interesting, I am trying to be fun (you have to say it with a strong slang while the pitch of your voice is raising: “FUN!”).
Dear friends, near and far, this is my first take at “What is Design?”
